Description
Mallow ( Malva Silvestris) is an annual, biennial or perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Malvaceae family.
It is a fairly common plant throughout Europe. It is frequently found in meadows and uncultivated places on the plains and hills and is often spontaneous in orchards and gardens.
It is one of the plants that has been increasingly used in our territories, both as an edible plant, for the preparation of soups and soups, and for the preparation of decoctions and herbal teas.
They cultivate Mallow on our land located in the Fermo countryside, far from polluted areas such as urban centers, industrial areas, highways, or state roads. The cultivation of Mallow, like all our plants, is rigorously natural, without the aid of chemical substances such as herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilisers.
The collection of Mallow leaves and flowers takes place in spring and autumn. They are then dried in the shade at low temperatures (<43°). This is thanks to special shaded tunnels with controlled ventilation and temperature.
Finally Mallow leaves and flowers are shredded and packaged. Our Malva herbal tea is ready to be tasted!
Usage tips
Decoction. Take a teaspoon of herbal tea and a cup of water (250 ml). Put water and mallow in a saucepan and bring the water to a boil. The mallow leaves and flowers will have to boil for at least 20-30 minutes, so as to obtain a stringy and viscous liquid, a sign that the mucilage has been extracted correctly. Then filter and drink hot/warm.
Warnings
