- Cultivated in a healthy environment;
- Undefined height, being a natural product, growth can vary according to various environmental factors;
- Any aesthetic defects are not to be considered defects, but qualities that demonstrate the naturalness of the crops.
How I grow the plants
My Aloe plants are grown in open countryside, they are growing spontaneously, they are not a "nursery" product. Unlike the nurseries, which cultivate plants only for the "ornamental" purpose, my plants are cultivated for the purpose of being used as a food supplement.
I want to stress this point because, unlike other farmers, I cultivate with biodynamic cultivation, I do not use pesticides, chemical fertilizers, I do not use black vases (produced from landfill waste), and I grow my plants in the countryside, on the beautiful hills of Fermo (Marche region).
Every defect that the plant can have is an added value, it is the proof that the production is natural and spontaneous.
How to care for the Aloe plant
I keep the Aloe Arborescens plants that are on sale in the open air with a solar exposure of about 60%. Once you receive the plant, you should not put it immediately under full sun exposure, but rather do it gradually. Aloe needs little water. It should be watered every 3/7/15/30 days depending on the time of the year (little or nothing in winter, more often in the summer).
As per the compost, which is essential if the plant is kept in a vase, in the spring/summer period, it is recommended to use organic fertilizer to be diluted with water every 30 days. If you plant the Aloe in the ground, if the soil is tilled, the plant does not need special compost.
Harvest of leaves
For the harvest of leaves we start from the largest branch from the bottom to the top and tear slightly and then rotate in a circular way around the plants.
Do not water the leaves before 7/10 days from harvest and do not water the plant for 7/10 days before harvest.
How to plant it in the ground
If you want, you can plant it in the ground during the period between April and July, creating a bit of shade on the plant in the first weeks to make the plant gradually adapt to the ground without stress.
Winter months
The plant does not withstand temperatures below 0 °, if the plant is in the garden or outdoor it is necessary to cover it with appropriate cloths or to move it inside the house in colder periods. If you want to move it in the sun, it is better to do it gradually: doing so you avoid damaging the leaves and you will get a splendid ornamental plant, also ideal for preparing the recipe of Father Zago.
Is it better the ready-to-use product or the plant?
Many people ask me to buy plants and they often end up having the house, the terrace, the garden, full of Aloe Arborescens plants. This is because many people often have the need to consume many leaves, perhaps for themselves or for the whole family.
Why should you buy an Aloe Arborescens plant:
- To have fresh leaves always available;
- To have a beautiful plant and a decent ornament close to you;
- I love green and I like it that way;
- I do not have a pet, but I like to take care of the plants;
Why should you buy a ready-to-use Father Zago Aloe Juice:
- It is a handcraft, fresh and ready-to-use product;
- You get a ready-to-use product, you do not need to waste your time to prepare it;
- To prepare it we use plants that are above 7 years old, grown on the ground and under the direct sunshine;
- My experience provides you with an optimized product for its purpose;
